The Har Michia Petroglyphs - Ancient Negev Rock Art

The Negev Desert has more to offer than just sand and arid terrain; it has misteries. The Har Michia Petroglyphs of the Negev, a corpus of thousands of artistic carvings found in southern Israel, tell a story that archaeologists are still stiving to decifer. At BGU, researchers like Davida Eisenberg-Degen and Steven A. Rosen, have dedicated their lives to uncovering the secrets of this stone age semiotic system. Some of the images resemble goats, camels, humans, buildings, and equids.
